Location

Located in the special town of Pawleys Island, Litchfield Country Club is a 10-minute drive from the beach and about a half hour to Myrtle Beach or Charleston. Litchfield Country Club is a private neighborhood with a golf course, clubhouse, and community pool that are only available to residents who purchase homes in the neighborhood.

Designed by Willard Byrd, the 18-hole “Litchfield” golf course at Litchfield Country Club opened in 1966. This trendsetter was one of the first eight courses built along the Grand Strand and still delivers a classic golf experience that has earned high marks for years from both locals and visitors.

A true shotmaker’s golf course, this Willard Byrd design features narrow fairways, sharp doglegs, and player-friendly green side pathways. The absence of tremendous length on many holes, however, makes the course enjoyable for players of all skill levels. The 13th hole is a particular favorite, with a tee shot over a wide fairway angled from right to left tempting players to challenge more of the flanking water hazard than prudent in hopes of reaching the green in two shots.

The ballroom’s inviting rocking chairs, double grand staircase, and beautiful chandeliers drench the space with romance. Walls of windows provide sweeping views of the club’s majestic live oaks and rolling greens.

The club’s in-house staff will work with you to plan a day to remember. The team will handle everything from plated appetizers and entrees to passed hors d’oeuvres, dinner buffet options, and more. Tables, chairs, a wedding arch, linens (you choose the colors), glassware, and more are included.
